Rules for VaCivic.com

General Rules

These rules were written with careful consideration of the safety and well being of you and your fellow forum members in mind. VACivic.com was purchased for Virginia Civic/Acura owners to come and talk about our love for our vehicles. Knowing how territorial some of us can get about our cars, the following rules are to be followed or you will be removed from the community for a first offense no more than seven (7) days, second offense no less than fourteen (14) days, and a third offense you will be completely banned from using VACivic.com.

•   No Rival Factions (Groups of friends are fine but don’t single out other groups just because you have a problem with one or all of them; this would destroy our community)
•   No Threatening of fellow forum members
•   No Trafficking of Illegal or Stolen Materials through the forums

Those are the most basic, easy to follow, real life emulating rules there are. Since you agreed to our agreement at registration, you should already be aware of those rules. If you have any problems with them, feel free to contact me (cfultz) and we can discuss them, DO NOT start a thread about how unfair the rules are because inevitably I and the other staff members have the final say on what goes and what doesn’t. If there are any changes made to the rules, you and the rest of the forum will be informed either by an email, thread in the announcements board, or both.

Rules for the Swap Meet and Garage

Since these two boards can basically have the trade of goods and services for real money, here are the rules and our disclaimer for the Swap Meet and Garage boards.
•   DISCLAIMER for Garage: We, VACivic.com and Staff, are NOT responsible for what our users post! So if something happens and you follow someone’s directions on a DIY project and screw your vehicle, device, whatever up, it’s not our fault. Also, for people posting DIY’s PUT DISCLAIMERS ON YOUR POSTS! This is YOUR responsibility to keep you from getting into real life trouble.  As well, watch out for scams by users that want to help you fix your car for the exchange of money or other work. Although some users are nice, some aren’t; watch yourself.
•   In the Garage, posting DIY’s must include a nice write up and include at least one (1) picture for every process that must take place. Also, do NOT do write ups on NON-CAR related stuff in the Garage, post those DIY’s over in our Help Desk Section (DIY’s for the help desk would include stuff like Jailbreaking your iPhone, Writing Code, Taking Excellent Photos, etc.).

•   DISCLAIMER for Swap Meet: We, VACivic.com and Staff, are NOT responsible for what our users post! Use some common sense when dealing with others in the Swap Meet board. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you see something that shouldn’t be there, notify either myself or another staff member and we will do our best to see it’s removed. Also, if you think you’ve been taken for a ride so to speak, contact us and we will contact the local authorities to see if there is anything that can be done to get your money/stuff back!
•   Things that are NOT permitted for sale in the Swap Meet Board include drugs, illegal material, stolen material, humans, sexual acts, and/or illegal services. Anyone in violation of this rule will be banned, turned into the proper authorities; no questions asked, no pleading, nothing!

Rules for Multimedia
The Multimedia board is for our users to post APPROPRIATE material for all ages. Now, there is a Lounge that is for donators and VIP’s where it’s a no holds bar posting environment. This means NO material that is rated over PG-13 is allowed in the Multimedia board. Simple enough right? If you want to join the Lounge and some other donators and VIP’s only boards, contact me on how to do so!
